Eastern Oak College of Nursing Sciences offers the following programmes:

Helping to bring new life into the world is a great responsibilty and one that needs care and compassion.

Training to become a registered midwife at Eastern Oak College of Nursing Sciences is a mix of academic study and practical, hands-on experience. It’s a dynamic way of learning that will leave you feeling ready for anything. Studying midwifery in EOCNS will give you the opportunity to work alongside senior, experienced academics, researchers, clinical midwives, and experts in their fields exploring relevant issues to women, their families and newborns.

And because our Midwifery programme is accreditated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, there really is no limit to where it could take you. Options include specialising in a specific area, working on different hospital units such as a high-dependency ward, or pursuing a managerial or research role. As a newly qualified nurse, you’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing direct patient care. If you train first as a midwife, with a plan of later doing further study to register as a nurse, it is acceptable. You will be required to do a shortened 18- month Post Basic nursing programme after qualifying as a registered Midwife. Similarly, if you enroll in the Nursing programme first, after becoming a registered nurse,you can apply for a shortened 18-month midwifery programme. This implies that you will obtain RN (3 years) or RM (3 years) . If you want to obtain RN+RM qualification it will be obtained in (4 years and 6 months).

⁠Yes, JAMB/UTME is required for admission into the ND-HND programme of Eastern Oak College of Nursing Sciences.

Yes, graduates who obtain the Higher National Diploma (HND) from Eastern Oak College of Nursing Sciences will be eligible for NYSC in due course.

•⁠ ⁠Score a minimum of 120 in the 2026 UTME to qualify for admission.

•⁠ ⁠Obtain a minimum of five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in no more than two sittings. Accepted examinations include WAEC, NECO, and NABTEB (note: you can combine WAEC and NECO results, but not NABTEB). NABTEB is acceptable but at one sitting only and can not be combined with any other certificate.

Yes, applicants can separately apply to Basic Nursing and Basic Midwifery programmes. However, it is important to note that there will be specific exam dates for each of the two programmes.-Independent assessment processes for each programme.- If applying to both, you'll be evaluated separately by distinct panels for each programme.

Applicants are to pay an application fee of N26,500. Make payment online in favour of Eastern Oak College of Nursing Sciences using the EduPay platform. EOCNS does not accept cash payments for any of its services. DO NOT pay cash to anyone. Anyone asking you to pay cash should be reported to the college authorities. Also do not pay into any bank account that does not bear the name of the college. Step-by-step guide on how to pay for the application form is available on the college website www.easternoak.org. Please beware of fraudsters as the management of EOCNS does not have an agent or representative who charges any amount of money for college admission.

The application form for admission is available on the college website, and admission for 2026/2027 is ongoing. The form should be completed online on the college website after payment of the application fee. Prospective students are free to visit the college for assistance in completing the form, if required. Students are also free to call the college hotline for support in completing the application form.
